Candy AI is an AI companion service for adults (18+). This Candy AI review starts with the price: the cheapest monthly plan is $9.99 (≈ R$ 50.44), according to the subscriptions page. The free access is short: up to 5 messages in total, 1 custom character and 1 image. Below you will find prices, payment rules, privacy and alternatives, based on site data checked on 22 Oct 2026.

Is Candy AI worth it? The short answer first

If you want AI character chats, 18+ images and videos, and a custom character, Candy AI offers all of these in one service. If you only want a free text chat without a tight cap, the free plan will probably feel short.

Main point in its favor: the paid plan has unlimited text. The annual plan is listed at $47.88 (≈ R$ 241.75), shown on the card as $3.99 a month (≈ R$ 20.15). That is a promotional discount on the annual period, billed once a year, not the standard monthly price.

Main point of caution: images, voice, calls and video spend tokens, and the company does not publish what each one costs. The privacy notice also allows chats to be used to train AI models.

How to pay for Candy AI from Brazil

The help centre (updated 29 Sep 2026) lists these methods for subscriptions and tokens: credit and debit cards, crypto, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer (Volt, Pix). Major card brands are accepted from any country. PayPal is not mentioned.

There is a caveat about Pix. The help centre names it, but the Portuguese subscriptions page (/pt-BR) shows only the Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard logos. It is not confirmed whether Pix appears at checkout for people connecting from Brazil.

Prices are in US dollars. Even on the Portuguese version, the page shows amounts in USD, and no price in reais is published. If you pay with a Brazilian-issued card, your bank may add IOF on a purchase in foreign currency. The rate is not in the site data, so check with your bank.

On your statement, the charge appears as "EverAI", the name of the operating company. Knowing this in advance avoids surprises.

What you can use for free

According to the help centre (updated 13 Oct 2026), free access gives up to 5 chat messages in total, across all characters, plus 1 custom character and 1 image. The terms agree: generally a maximum of 5 messages, and after that you need a subscription or another kind of paid access.

Features: chat, voice, images and video

• Text chat: unlimited and free of token costs for paying users. The home page mentions more than 100 ready-made characters.
• Memory: yes. Deleting or resetting a chat also erases its memory, and you cannot clear only the history. A deleted chat cannot be restored.
• Voice messages: listening to one spends tokens, and the amount is not published.
• Voice calls: "Voice Calls (beta)", paid in tokens, with no per-minute cost published. The Candy Roulette video chat costs 5 tokens per minute.
• Images: paid in tokens, with 1 free image. The cost per image is not published.
• Video: a short clip made from an image, paid in tokens, plus features such as Build Your Video, Candy Cam and Candy Shorts (episodes under 2 minutes). Live Action is Premium only, mobile only and limited to some characters. Some features are in beta.
• Custom character: "Create My AI" lets you choose appearance, voice and personality traits. The free plan includes 1 character, and the help centre lists character creation among token expenses.
• Group chat: not published.

Candy AI in Portuguese

The site has a Brazilian Portuguese version (/pt-BR) with the menu and footer translated, but "Shorts" and "Premium" stay in English, and the help centre exists only in English.

For chat, the official sources disagree. Some help-centre articles state that only English and French are officially supported. Another (from 3 Jul 2026) says Portuguese is not officially supported, but you can ask the character to reply in Portuguese, and quality may vary. There are instructions for switching the chat language through the site's language selector.

We have not measured the quality of replies in Portuguese.

Privacy and data at Candy AI

The operator is EverAI Limited, based in Malta (registration C107181), which is also the data controller. The privacy notice was revised on 19 Oct 2026. Here is what it says:

• Account: kept for 3 years after last activity, which may drop to 1 year in some cases. Financial data is kept for 10 years and debug logs with interactions for 30 days.
• Conversations: there is no separate retention period. The terms allow content to be deleted after a period of inactivity.
• AI training: prompts and replies may be used to train AI and moderation models, based on "legitimate interest". No opt-out switch is described, only the general right to object. Whether a setting exists was not published.
• Transfers: data may leave the EU, including to the US.
• Deletion: you can delete the account yourself under My Profile, Settings, Danger Zone, Delete Account. Some data is kept for as long as the law requires.
• Age check: currently self-declaration. The company may ask for additional verification depending on location, without saying which.

The home page mentions TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit. The content policy bans imitating real people and celebrities, and content that looks like minors. More on this in Is Candy AI safe and Privacy.

How to cancel and ask for a refund

Cancel: log in, go to My Profile, Settings, and at the bottom, in the subscription details, click Unsubscribe and confirm (4 steps, according to the help article updated 21 Oct 2026). Access continues until the end of the paid period and there is no further charge. Deleting the account before renewal also cancels. You cannot pause the subscription, and the only card on file cannot be removed while it is active.

Refund: not automatic. You must email [email protected] within 24 hours of payment, and the terms require that no more than 20 tokens were spent, that you paid by card and that the problem is not on the user's side. For tokens, the window is also 24 hours, only if unused and only for card payments. Moderation bans and feature changes do not qualify for a refund.

In the European Union and the United Kingdom there are 14 days to withdraw from the first purchase, but not from renewals. For Brazil, the site data contains no specific rule.

There is one inconsistency: the terms say unused tokens expire when the subscription ends, while the help centre says the balance stays until you renew Premium.

User reports on Candy AI from open platforms

Here we gather what users write on open platforms; we have not tested the service. As of 27 Oct 2026, the Trustpilot profile had been removed by Trustpilot: the page says the company violates the platform's rules and is no longer shown. Opinions elsewhere vary and do not change the terms the company publishes.

A few themes recur in user discussions. One is the feeling that this type of app is fun for immersive chats but gets repetitive fast, which leads people to ask for alternatives. Others ask whether the service deserves its reputation, complain about promotional posts and fake recommendations, or comment on the quality and speed of generated images.
