Is Candy AI Safe and Legit? Card Billing, User Opinions and Privacy

Is Candy AI safe? Based on what is published, the service is running and has an identified company in Malta, but the privacy terms have points you need to accept: chats can be used to train AI, and age is confirmed only by self-declaration. We have not tested the service, so everything here comes from public documents checked on 22 Oct 2026.

Is Candy AI legit? The short answer

On transparency, the signs are good. The operator is EverAI Limited, registered in Malta under no. C107181, with an address, a support email and a data protection contact in the terms and the privacy notice. On 22 Oct 2026 the site was online, the privacy notice had been revised on 19 Oct 2026 and the terms on 22 Sep 2026. Searches found no reports from major outlets about Candy AI shutting down, going bankrupt or facing regulator sanctions in 2026.

That does not mean there are no risks. These points weigh on the decision:

• Chats (prompts and replies) can be used to train AI and moderation models, based on "legitimate interest". The privacy notice describes no opt-out switch for training; there is only the general right to object.
• The notice mentions keeping account data for 3 years after last activity and financial data for 10 years. There is no separate retention period for conversations.
• Data can leave the European Union, including for the US.
• The subscriptions page indicates that the charge appears on your statement as "EverAI", not "Candy AI". If you don't know this, the line item may look odd.

On what users write on open platforms, the themes repeat. Some users look for alternatives and say apps like this are fun for immersive chats but get repetitive fast. Others ask whether the service lives up to the hype, and some wonder which model generates the images, described as fast and good-looking. These are user reports, not our conclusion. One note: Trustpilot removed the company's profile, and its page says the company violates the platform's rules and is no longer shown (checked 27 Oct 2026).

Paying from Brazil: Pix, card and crypto

The help centre (updated 29 Sep 2026) says payment methods depend on the country and that major cards are accepted from anywhere. It lists credit and debit cards, crypto, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer (Volt, Pix). There is one catch: on the Portuguese subscriptions page, only the Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard logos appear. We could not confirm whether Pix is actually available at checkout for Brazil.

The monthly Premium plan costs $9.99 (≈ R$ 50.44). Prices are in dollars; the reais are site estimates based on the ECB reference rate of 22 Oct 2026, without taxes, and your bank may add IOF.

Watch out for automatic renewal. The subscription screen shows the first month at $9.99 with a discount, then monthly renewal at $13.99. The 3-month and 1-year plans renew automatically at the same price and length. Extra tokens, used for voice, images and other features, are charged separately, and token pack prices are not public.

How to cancel Candy AI and ask for a refund

To cancel Candy AI: log in, go to "My Profile", then "Settings", click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom and confirm. Access continues until the end of the paid period. You can also cancel by deleting the account before the renewal date.

A refund is not automatic. You must email [email protected] within 24 hours of payment, paid by card, with no more than 20 tokens spent and a problem that is not on the user's side. The EU and UK have a separate 14-day rule, which does not apply to people in Brazil.

The free tier is limited: up to 5 messages in total, 1 custom character and 1 image. More in Is Candy AI free?.

Safety, moderation and age checks

The service is for adults (18+) only. The Blocked Content Policy (revised 30 Jul 2026) bans illegal content, hate speech, violence and self-harm, exploitation of children, content that looks like minors, privacy violations, impersonation of real people and celebrities, intimate images without consent and deepfakes. Moderation combines the company's own AI model with human review, and, according to the Trust & Safety centre, account bans are issued by human moderators.

Age verification is weak: the main method is self-declaration, where you tick that you are over 18. The company says it may require extra checks depending on location, but it does not say which ones, nor which providers or countries.

Scams and fake apps: where the real Candy AI is

Candy AI works in a browser (desktop and mobile) and as a PWA that you add to your home screen. According to the help centre, there is no native app for iOS or Android. The stated domain is candy.ai.

Apps with similar names exist on the App Store and Google Play. Since the help centre says there is no native app, they are not the official product, and we do not know who publishes them. Also avoid APKs from random sites, because you would hand payment details to someone with no connection to the company.

How to avoid a clone:

• Always go through the candy.ai domain or the link on our site, Candy AI Affiliate link.
• Check that the company named in the footer is EverAI Limited.
• Look for the name "EverAI" on your statement.
• Do not pay through links received in messages or ads of unknown origin.
