Is GirlfriendGPT safe? Based on what is published, the service has an identified operator in Canada and written privacy and cancellation rules, plus an account deletion option. There are gaps, though: it is unknown whether chats train AI models, and age verification relies essentially on the user's own declaration. Is GirlfriendGPT legit? What we can confirm and what we can't

GirlfriendGPT is an active service with an identifiable company behind it. It cannot be called fully safe: no independent audit has checked its data practices, and the site leaves several basic questions unanswered.

Who operates the service: the Terms of Use (version of 18 June 2026) say the site belongs to NextDay AI Incorporated of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, together with subsidiaries: NextDay AI USA Inc (Delaware) and NextDay AI EU Ltd (Cyprus). Quebec law applies, with disputes heard in Quebec courts. Which of these companies signs the contract with users in Brazil is not published.

Signs of activity: on 22 Oct 2026 the site showed characters created the same day, an updated sitemap and a Halloween promotion running until 1 Nov 2026. We found no reports from major outlets about a shutdown, bankruptcy, sale or investigation involving the company (search of 22 Oct 2026). The official blog cites nearly 50 million users in 2025, but that is the company's own figure with no independent confirmation.

Open reviews: on Trustpilot (27 Oct 2026) the rating is 2.7 out of 5 from only 4 reviews, so any conclusion is fragile. Complaints mention repetitive images, a weak image generator, slowness and basic features that fail; the praise is the variety of features. On Reddit, the themes are usage tips, praise for the characters' writing and debates about relationships with AI.

Privacy: account deletion, retention and chat training

The Privacy Notice (13 April 2026) treats your conversations with the characters as user content ("Content" in the original). The company's FAQ openly says it stores conversations.

• Retention: data is kept while the account exists and, as a rule, for another 6 years after it closes (the registry lists 72 months). There is no separate period for chat history.
• AI training: the policy does not say whether models learn from chats. There is only a general sentence about using data to develop new tools. We treat it as not stated.
• Moderation: the company's own filter, built on its own LLM, scans content, and anything flagged may be seen by a person.
• Deletion: the interface has an account deletion option, completed within 30 days; during that time you can recover the account through Discord. You can also permanently delete individual chats, messages, memories, images and videos.
• License: the Terms give the company a broad license with no time limit over "User Submissions". The text does not clearly say whether that includes chats.
• Third parties: the policy mentions Google Analytics; PostHog and OneSignal also appear among the tools the service uses. The AI model providers are not named.

What shows up on your card statement

According to the checkout strings, a card payment appears as NDAI.CHAT. For CCBill and TrustPay, which the Terms also mention, the statement name is not published. The site does not explicitly promise a "discreet" charge.

Prices are shown only in US dollars. The reais amounts are estimates: the dollar price was converted at the ECB (European Central Bank) reference rate of 22 Oct 2026, without taxes, and your bank may add IOF on an international purchase. Charges are recurring, with automatic renewal. The cheapest monthly plan is shown in the site's FAQ markup as $10.00 (about R$ 50.49) per month, but checkout only opens after login and we could not verify it, so it may be out of date. Payment methods:

• Card: Visa, Mastercard and Discover icons in the footer, plus the "Credit Card" and "Pay by Bank" options.
• Pix: does not appear in the service's public documents.
• Crypto: there are signs of a crypto gateway, but it is not confirmed to work.
• Local currency: one of the methods lets you choose it, without saying which currencies or countries.

Safety, moderation and age rules

The service describes itself as an NSFW platform for adults aged 18 and over. The Community Guidelines and the Blocked Content Policy ban illegal content, characters who are minors or look like minors, and using another person's face or voice without consent. Material involving the exploitation of minors is passed to the authorities and to NCMEC. The content removal policy lets you request removal of content that resembles a real person.

Age: under the Underage Policy (13 April 2026), sign-up shows an age barrier and users confirm themselves that they are over 18. There is also a "Verify your age" flow with a selfie, marked as required by law in certain regions and run by third-party partners. In which countries it is mandatory, and who the partners are, is not published.

Investigations and complaints: on 22 Oct 2026 we found no public investigations or actions against NextDay AI. That does not prove there are no problems, only that this search turned up no record.

Payment, how to cancel GirlfriendGPT and refunds

The Terms (section 27) say automatic renewal can be turned off at any time on the subscription management page inside your account. The subscription does not renew after the current period ends, and a confirmation arrives by email. If you cancel after a new period has started, that period may be charged and the cancellation applies from the next one.

If you paid through CCBill, the path is: sign in on the CCBill site, open the Billing tab, find the GirlfriendGPT subscription, choose Cancel Subscription and confirm. For TrustPay there are no published steps; the advice is to contact support.

Refunds (section 15): as a rule, paid subscriptions are not refunded, except for a company error or a technical problem. Requests are reviewed and refunded within 14 days. With CCBill, CCBill handles the refund itself; in other cases support decides case by case. The unused part of the period is not refunded, and stricter local law prevails. Fake apps and scams: where to find the real GirlfriendGPT

GirlfriendGPT runs in the browser and as a PWA, installable from the menu, with instructions for Android, iOS and desktop. According to the registry, the official domain is www.gptgirlfriend.online.

We found no official app in the App Store or Google Play, although the Terms mention a mobile app. The "Girlfriend GPT" app on Google Play (com.gfsim.app) is from a different developer, WhatsGood. The /download page mentions an Android APK, but without a link.

• Do not install an APK from unknown sites.
• Check the address before typing a card number or password.
• Pay only at the service's own checkout, and be wary of offers that reach you by other routes.
