Is Secrets AI legit? The short answer

Secrets AI is an adult (18+) service that is online and still receiving updates. The latest release in the official changelog is v7.19.1, from 19 Oct 2026. The company appears with a name and address in its documents, and the refund policy was updated on 21 Oct 2026. That suggests an active service, but it does not guarantee anything.

There are three points to watch. The privacy policy lists using data to "train and improve our AI models" without explaining how to opt out. There is no refund for unused days. And age is confirmed by declaration only. On the date of the check, major news outlets showed no reports of bankruptcy, a sale or an investigation of the service.

On public opinion: on Trustpilot the rating was 4.5 out of 5 from 286 reviews, and the profile is verified by the company (checked on 27 Oct 2026). Praise mentions engaging conversations, a good memory system and character customization. Complaints mention inaccurate images, memory lapses, repetitive replies and deleted characters or images. Reddit discussions touch on themes such as emotional attachment to AI companions and long write-ups of using the service, with no single conclusion.

The service is operated by Secret Labs Inc., 8 The Green Ste D, Dover, DE 19901, USA. The terms of service (updated 10 Apr 2026) say the company is registered in both Canada and the United States. The governing law is that of British Columbia, with arbitration in Vancouver. The registration number and address of the Canadian entity are not published. Privacy: what happens to your data and chats

The Privacy Policy (10 Apr 2026) says stored data is encrypted with AES-256 and transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher. Call audio is deleted right after transcription, and only the text is kept. According to the document, personal data is not sold.

There is an inconsistency. The home page promises "end-to-end encryption", but the policy and the store FAQ describe encryption in transit and on the server. Treat the home page claim with caution.

On training with your chats: the policy lists model training among its purposes. No opt-out mechanism is described, and we could not confirm whether it can be switched off.

On deletion and retention:

• While the account is active, your data is kept.
• When you delete the account, personal data and chat history are deleted immediately.
• Transaction records are kept for 7 years, and system logs without personal data for up to 12 months.

• Individual memories can be deleted by hand. Memory export is not available.

Prices are published in US dollars only. Real amounts on this page are site estimates: the dollar price times the ECB reference rate of 22 Oct 2026, without taxes. Your bank may add IOF on a purchase in a foreign currency. At checkout, sales tax is calculated from the ZIP code, and the terms say tax is charged when required.

• Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards. Amex is not accepted. Virtual debit cards are accepted too.

The rules prohibit any content involving minors (zero tolerance, with reports to NCMEC), non-consent, violence, exploitation and characters based on real people. References that resemble a real person are rejected. Messages go through automatic safety checks, and a chat can be paused, with the right to appeal.

Age is confirmed by self-declaration: a "Yes, I am 18+" button and a notice that by continuing you confirm you are over 18. The Underage Policy also mentions age-based checks at sign-up and AI monitoring, with a block until verification. The method (document, selfie or third party) is not published. The FAQ says regular use does not require an ID.

On complaints and investigations: on the date of the check, we found no record of an investigation or public action against the service in the press. That does not replace your own research.

Paying, cancelling Secrets AI and getting a refund

The subscription renews automatically, and multi-month plans renew for the same period. Price increases must be announced 30 days in advance, according to the terms. How to cancel Secrets AI, according to the wiki:

1. Open Settings > Manage Subscription.
2. Click "Cancel Subscription".
3. Give a reason.

Access continues until the end of the paid period, then the account goes to Free. A card subscription can be resumed with "Resume Subscription" until the period ends; a crypto one cannot, you can only buy again. G2A keys simply expire.

The documents disagree in places. The terms talk about cancelling through the payment processor or by email, and say the account closes automatically. The cancellation screen warns that generated media would be deleted after 14 days on Free, which the wiki contradicts.
