Is Kupid AI Safe When No Company or Address Is Published?
Checked on Oct 22, 2026

Grade

Is Kupid AI safe? Based on what the service publishes, it has some strengths and clear gaps: no company or address is disclosed for the operator, data is kept for a long time, and cancelling is done by email. This page collects what the service's own documents say, checked on 22 Oct 2026. For an overview of the product, see the Kupid AI review.
Is Kupid AI legit? The short answer
There is no simple yes or no answer. The site was working on the check date, with its pricing and subscription pages active, and we found no reports from major news outlets about a shutdown, bankruptcy or lawsuits. On the other hand, the company behind it is not identified: the Terms, the Privacy Policy and the other pages call the operator simply "Kupid AI", with no company name, address or country of registration.
What does exist is a governing law: the Terms (section 9) point to the laws and courts of Malta. The site has no contact or "about" page; the support, complaints and appeals emails appear inside the legal documents.
On user opinion: on Trustpilot (checked 27 Oct 2026) the score is 3.1 out of 5, but with only 17 reviews, so any conclusion is weak. Complaints mention weak memory, unexpected or repeated charges, refused refunds, support that does not reply, and a strict content filter. Praise focuses on image and video quality and on varied chats. In Reddit discussions, the themes are comparisons between AI girlfriend apps and the use of user-created characters.

How we calculate itPrivacy and data: what the policy says
The Privacy Policy is dated 02/05/2023. It counts conversations with the characters as collected "Content", and moderators may check that the rules are followed. Data is kept while the account exists and, in general, for another 6 years after it is closed (the registry lists 72 months). There is no separate retention period for chats.
Other points in the document:
- data may go to service providers, professional advisers, authorities and employees;
- technical data comes from analytics (Google Analytics), ad networks and search providers;
- aggregated statistics go to partners, and if the company is sold, the data may pass to the buyer;
- GDPR-style rights (access, correction, deletion, objection) with a reply normally within a month, requests via [email protected]. LGPD is not mentioned.
On AI training: the policy does not address it. The FAQ says they do not train "public models" on your chats, that conversations are encrypted in transit and that data is not sold. Nothing is said about non-public models, so that stays as not published.
You can delete conversations and the whole account in the interface ("Delete My Account"). When you cancel a subscription, your created characters, images, voice and history with premium bots are deleted after 30 days, according to the cancellation flow. In practice, keep your full name, address, documents and anything sensitive out of the chats. More on how we handle the topic in general is on the Privacy page.
What shows up on your card statement
According to a line in the interface, the charge appears on the statement as "Kupid AI", and the service promises "No adult transaction in your bank statement". The pages also show badges such as "Discreet" and "Private billing". These are the service's own promises; we could not confirm how each bank displays the entry.
The payment picture is confusing. On the check date, the checkout page showed "Pay privately with Alipay or crypto", and there was a notice that card payments were unavailable at the moment. Interface text also mentions cards, PayPal and Patreon, but this may vary by country. Pix is not mentioned anywhere.
Prices are in US dollars. The real amounts on this site are estimates using the ECB reference rate of 22 Oct 2026, without taxes; your bank may add IOF on a purchase in foreign currency. The annual Pro plan, for example, is $179.00 (≈ R$ 903.77). The other plans are on Kupid AI: pricing and free plan.
Moderation, content rules and age
The Terms (section 2.2) say the platform contains adult content, including AI-generated content, and that access is only for people 18 or older, or of legal age in their country. Following your local laws is your responsibility. Section 5.4 provides for automatic moderation, human review of flagged content, and suspension or blocking of accounts that break the rules.

Age verification is self-declaration: by using the service or clicking submit on a payment, you state that you are 18 or older. There is no document or selfie check for regular users. Only creators who upload content packs (Verified Uploaders) go through identity and age verification. Characters created by users must also be 18 or older.
As for formal investigations and complaints, we found none as of 22 Oct 2026. That does not prove none exist, only that none showed up in our search.
Payment, cancelling Kupid AI and refunds
Cancellation is a point to watch. The Terms (section 4) tell you to write to [email protected] to stop recurring billing. In the interface there is also a path through Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription, and access continues until the end of the paid period. Before you cancel, the service makes retention offers, such as a discount on the next month, a pause or a free week. Subscriptions through PayPal or Patreon are cancelled on those platforms, and deleting your account does not cancel a Patreon subscription.
On renewal: the card checkout says "you agree to automatic subscription renewal". One-time payments by Alipay or crypto say "nothing renews". The company does not explain this officially, so check the screen before you pay.
Refunds are where the documents contradict each other:
- the Terms say sales of digital products are final and non-refundable;
- the card form shows "30 days moneyback guarantee";
- on a downgrade there is no refund; on an upgrade, the unused part is returned.
The effective refund policy is not clearly published. Complaints go to [email protected], with a reply within 7 business days (Terms, section 13). If something goes wrong, keep screenshots and emails and contact your bank as well.
Scams and fake apps
The official address is www.kupid.ai. The service runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, and offers a PWA (install to the home screen, with instructions for iOS, Android and Chrome). There are no links to the App Store or Google Play, and we found no official app in the stores.
So be wary of anything outside the official site:
- apps such as CupidAI or "Cupid: AI Relationship Coach" are different products;
- kupid.it.com is not the official site;
- do not install an APK from random sites or "free premium" versions.
Type the address directly into your browser, check the padlock and pay only on the service's own page. To compare with other options, see the Kupid AI alternatives and the page Is Candy AI safe?.
